Designer Spotlight Learn to Play: Roll in One (Family Friendly)

  • Dogpatch Games 1095 Tennessee Street San Francisco, CA, 94107 United States (map)

This special Learn to Play highlights a locally designed game! The creator will be here teaching and discussing the game. This is a family friendly game!

Use a variety of custom-sided dice & unique gameplay to drive, chip, putt, slice, and hook your way around player-designed golf courses. Take turns choosing a die and rolling to see how far your ball flies. Successful rolls keep you traveling through the air, and you must keep rolling and moving until you fail! Choose wisely, as the wrong club will put you far in the rough. Use bonus and ability cards while dealing with terrain, in a race to the green. Do you have what it takes to get a Roll in One?

Designer’s Note

Roll In One originated from imagining each of the six polyhedral dice as a different golf club, and on your turn you pick which you'll swing with. The game stayed true to that, adding course-design, special powers, and custom dice-sides so each club is truly unique. This quick and casual game is good for when your family came over and dinner's done; or to fill that early spot in your game night where friends are still arriving; or your partner just wants to see who's better at rolling dice.
